    What is Singapore PSB Certification

    The Singapore Consumer Product Protection Act 1991 specifies the Singapore Standards, Productivity and Innovation Commissioner as a product safety function responsible for the licensing and registration of products covered by the Consumer Protection (Safety Requirements) Registration Program (CPS). Only registered products with the SAFETY mark can be sold in Singapore, and the relevant units responsible for selling the shipments to consumers in Singapore must register each model with the safety authorities. When logging in, it must be verified with a certificate and test report that this model complies with the mandatory product safety labeling. At present, Singapore only requires safety, and it is only voluntary for EMC.

    Safety requirements: Under the requirements of the IEC standard, the product must also meet the tropical conditions test, and the Singapore certification must provide local agents. The certificate holder is also a local agent. After obtaining the PSB, the product can enter Singapore sales.

    Certification Considerations

    1.     certificate holders are registered companies in Singapore;

    2.     No factory inspections and annual fees;

    3.     The certificate is valid for three years;

    4. If the product is a direct plug-in power supply, the plug must comply with the relevant requirements, such as the EU plug must comply with EN50075, the British plug must comply with BS1363 or SS246 requirements, and related plug test report;

    5.                    

    6.     If you have a valid CB certificate or report, you generally do not need to provide samples;

    7.     Certification Standard: IEC Standard + Singapore Difference, or SS Standard;

    Certification data preparation

    1.     CB certificate and test report valid for three years (English only)

    2.     Labels (Application for PSB only accepts single models and does not accept serial model applications)

    3.     Circuit Diagrams and Layout

    4.     Parts Material Table (BOM)

    5.     Architecture/Drawings & Parts List

    6.     English Manual

    7.     Color Photos, Including Appearance and Internal (Important Security Parts) Photo Files

    8.     Other information, the name, address and contact details of the importer or agent in Singapore
